About this role
Vizgen is building the future of spatial biology through powerful, integrated multi-omic platforms. We are seeking a Product Manager to lead our software, data analysis and AI tool portfolio, including StarVUE™, MERSCOPE™ Visualizer, and next-generation informatics products. This role will help define and drive the roadmap for intuitive, scalable, and scientifically robust software that empowers researchers to derive insights from spatial transcriptomics, proteomics, and beyond. The Product Manager will work cross-functionally with software engineering, data science, R&D, marketing, and commercial teams to ensure our digital products meet the evolving needs of customers in discovery and translational research.

Who are we looking for...
- Bachelor’s degree in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field. Advanced degree (MS, PhD, or MBA) preferred.
- 3+ years of product management or related experience in a scientific software, bioinformatics, or digital health setting.
- Familiarity with genomics or imaging-based data analysis; experience with spatial biology tools a strong plus.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (Agile, Scrum), and experience working closely with technical teams.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated success in launching and iterating on scientific software products.
- Passion for building tools that make complex data more accessible and actionable for researchers.
- Ability to travel ~10–20% to engage with users and internal teams.
what you can expect...
- Lead the evolution and execution of the Vizgen software roadmap—including data analysis, AI, and future multiomic applications—while aligning with overall business strategy and revenue forecasts.
- Collaborate across Finance, R&D, and Commercial teams to develop robust revenue projections and ensure the business case for new software initiatives is well-founded.
- Partner with R&D, Marketing, and UX teams to identify, document, and prioritize user-focused requirements for all Vizgen software products, ensuring seamless integration and platform synergy.
- Support the New Product Introduction (NPI) process with clear, data-driven justifications and expected return on investment for each software initiative.
- Oversee product management documentation and operational tasks to guide the product development process (PDP) from ideation to launch.
- Coordinate with the software QA team to validate that delivered software meets or exceeds specified requirements and maintains high quality standards.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional product teams to ensure that multiple platforms (including but not limited to StarVUE™, MERSCOPE™ Visualizer, and other AI-driven tools) work smoothly together.
- Interface directly with customers and conduct market research to provide a compelling “voice of the customer” that drives software development and enhances user experience.
- Develop, articulate, and continuously validate crisp and compelling value propositions and messaging across the entire software portfolio.
- Leverage these insights to craft persuasive sales tools, customer support materials, and marketing strategies that highlight the competitive benefits of Vizgen’s integrated software ecosystem.
- Represent Vizgen in a professional and innovative manner when engaging with both external stakeholders and internal teams, ensuring the company’s software capabilities are effectively championed and understood.
