About this role
As a Senior Software Engineer – Advanced Microscopy Systems, you will leverage your technical expertise and development experience to design and build software for cutting-edge microscopy systems. You will create scalable, robust software architectures, solve complex challenges, and enhance software quality while ensuring seamless user interactions. This role requires a strong technical foundation, adherence to industry standards, and responsiveness to market needs to maintain and grow the product’s reputation.

Who are we looking for...
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Software Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field relevant to microscopy and imaging.
- At least 5 years of experience in desktop application development, preferably with an internationally recognized microscopy or imaging solutions provider.
- Proficient in C/C++ programming with a strong command of Qt-based development.
- Experience in hardware control, image processing, and graphical rendering is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with the principles of microscopy imaging, system components, and classifications.
- Knowledge of advanced imaging techniques, including super-resolution methods like SIM, STED, and SMLM.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a clear, logical approach to planning and execution.
- Excellent leadership and team collaboration abilities, with a proactive and responsible attitude.
- Willingness to travel as required to support development and market needs.

- Develop desktop software for advanced optical microscopy systems, encompassing features like automation control, image acquisition, image processing, graphical rendering, and user interaction.
- Design and optimize software architecture and critical modules, create technical solutions for key functionalities, and establish communication protocols to ensure scalability and robustness.
- Integrate and develop market-driven software features, resolve software defects, and design continuous upgrade strategies for long-term software performance.
- Produce comprehensive development documentation, including functional descriptions, UML class diagrams, and technical design specifications.
- Solve complex software development challenges and mentor team members to enhance their technical skills and expertise, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
