The PhenoCycler® platform enables high-plex biomarker discovery across 100+ protein markers in a single tissue sample, while the PhenoImager® platform is the industry standard for multiplex IF/IHC.As the company sharpens its focus in spatial biology, it is building a dedicated Quanterix Spatial commercial team.
About this role
We are seeking a talented, highly motivated Business Development Manager to grow the Quanterix Spatial (Akoya) business across the Nordics (Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, and Iceland), covering both Pharma/CRO and Academic/Government markets. In this individual contributor role, you will drive new business by finding and closing significant capital instrument and reagent opportunities and building long-term relationships. Alongside your Sales Manager, you will develop sales strategies in key target segments, curate a healthy pipeline, close with confidence, and turn prospects into spatial biology evangelists while sharing market feedback with the product and marketing teams.

Who are we looking for...
- Master's degree in biology or a similar life science discipline; a PhD and/or MBA in a scientific discipline (or equivalent) preferred.
- Essential: high-value technical capital equipment sales experience in the life sciences, preferably in immunohistochemistry, digital pathology, or microscopy/imaging, with a track record of consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
- Proven experience managing tender processes for >€250K capital equipment in the Nordics.
- Knowledge of cellular, IHC, and/or pathology applications and imaging instrumentation.
- Experience selling directly to pathology and research laboratories, cancer research centers, academic institutions, and pharma and biotech accounts; reagent and contract services experience a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal English, familiarity with Nordic culture, and at least one Nordic language.
- Strong presentation, planning, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Proficiency with Salesforce for pipeline management, activity logging, and reporting.
- A proactive, collaborative, results-oriented team player with strong ownership, a customer-first mindset, and a commitment to ethical sales practices.
- Willingness to travel 50%+ and a valid driver's license.
- Must live in the Nordics - Denmark or Sweden preferred - ideally near a major airport.
what you can expect...
- Own capital equipment and reagent sales across the entire Quanterix Spatial portfolio in the assigned territory, meeting or exceeding revenue goals on a quarterly cadence.
- Generate leads with a hunter's mentality (database searches, LinkedIn, publication mining, conferences) and leverage existing contacts to expand the customer base.
- Apply account radiate strategies to grow business across pharma, academia, and government institutes (labs, core facilities, etc.).
- Partner with the local support team in a ONE TEAM approach to demonstrate product expertise and show customers the value of spatial biology solutions.
- Manage the full sales cycle from introduction through purchase to deployment, coordinating across company resources throughout.
- Track the entire procurement process - requisition, approval, release of funds, purchase - in SFDC to drive forecast accuracy.
- Prepare and compile tender submissions, questionnaires, and pre-qualification materials.
- Coordinate and execute equipment demonstrations and technical imaging workshops to drive interest and leads.
