About this role
We are seeking a highly skilled Field Applications Scientist (FAS) based in North America, preferably in Boston or a major city in California with easy access to major airports and highways. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support cutting-edge microscopy and nanoscopy solutions that empower researchers in life sciences, biotechnology, and biopharma.
As an FAS, you will play a key role in driving market adoption, customer success, and scientific engagement. You will provide pre- and post-sales support, help customers integrate advanced imaging solutions into their research, and collaborate closely with internal teams to refine and expand our offerings.

Who are we looking for...
- Ph.D. in a relevant field (2+ years of postdoctoral or industry experience preferred).
- Practical research experience in life sciences with expertise in Single-Molecule Localization Microscopy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver engaging technical presentations and collaborate effectively across teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, working closely with multidisciplinary and globally distributed teams.
- Prior field applications experience is highly desirable.
- Experience in demonstration, installation, and troubleshooting of high-throughput imaging platforms is a plus.
- Proven ability to design, interpret, and optimize experiments, developing innovative solutions to complex challenges.
- Willingness to travel 40-50% within North America, with occasional international travel.
what you can expect...
- Provide technical training, support, and troubleshooting to ensure customers maximize the benefits of microscopy and nanoscopy platforms.
- Guide researchers in experimental design, implementation, and data interpretation, building credibility and trust in our technology.
- Partner with the Account Executive Team to identify, develop, and close high-value sales opportunities for hardware and consumables.
- Deliver technical seminars, product demonstrations, and customer training both remotely and on-site.
- Collaborate with Sales, R&D, Product Management, and Marketing to implement strategies that balance customer needs with business goals.
- Engage with key opinion leaders (KOLs), early adopters, and strategic partners to expand market presence.
- Contribute to the development of application notes, white papers, and case studies, working closely with internal teams.
- Serve as a customer advocate, providing feedback to internal teams on product performance, competitive landscape, and market trends.
