About this role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Geneyx Field Application Team in EMEA. The Field Application Scientist (FAS) role involves engaging with a diverse range of researchers and clinicians across various scientific disciplines to promote our software applications and services that focus on genomic data analysis and interpretation. As a technical field representative in EMEA, you will help establish strong relationships with customers, provide comprehensive training, and ensure they maximize their use of the Geneyx platform. Additionally, you will deliver logistical support and troubleshooting assistance to guarantee high levels of customer satisfaction and platform utilization.

Who are we looking for...
- PhD in Genetics, Bioinformatics or Molecular Biology
- Next Generation Sequencing experience in a lab or bioinformatic analysis/developments experience - mandatory
- 1-3 years industry experience is an advantage
- Experience with python development as well as bash scripting languages (bash, awk, sed, etc.)
- SQL basic skills
- Experience with MS Azure/ AWS is an advantage
- Experience with Linux installations is an advantage
- Strong interpersonal skills, previous experience in customer-facing roles and/or FAS roles
- Clinical experience preferred with emphasis on data analysis and biological interpretation of DNA sequencing data
- Excellent written, presentation, and verbal skills including strong public speaking experience
- Aptitude for understanding, communicating, and training scientific concepts, applications, and methods
- Ability to work remote from home, but occasionally willing to travel and engage with clients
