About this role
Hain Lifescience GmbH is a manufacturer and distributor of in-vitro diagnostics. Our customers include medical laboratories worldwide. Our core competencies are molecular genetic test systems and devices for detecting dangerous pathogens or hereditary diseases. Since October 2018, Hain Lifescience has been part of the globally successful technology group Bruker, headquartered in the USA. In May 2025 EliTech Group joined Bruker MDx.
For our Service & Support team in Germany, we are looking for a Field Service Engineer (m/w/d) for Germany.

Who are we looking for...
- A completed apprenticeship as an electrical or medical devices technician with experience in biotechnology and physical engineering, or a comparable degree.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
- Hands on experience with molecular diagnostic instruments in a laboratory setting would be a significant advantage.
- Ideally, you should live or have your main place of residence in the area between Nürnberg, Dresden and Leipzig.
- Ability to analyse equipment failures and identify solutions to the resulting customer issues
- Good knowledge of LIS (Laboratory Information Systems) and Lab IT infrastructure to ensure seamless instrument integration and remote connection
- Experience with CRM Service tools for reporting and task management
- Good computer skills with common operating systems
- Customer-focused mindset, flexibility and mobility
- A communicative personality combined with a friendly and confident manner when dealing with customers, even under pressure
- Structured, independent and highly reliable working style
- Fluency in German and English are necessary
- Readiness to travel at least 80%
- Valid Class B driving licence
what you can expect...
- Carrying out repair, maintenance and qualification work on in vitro diagnostic equipment, including IQ, OQ and PV procedures and GMP compliance, at the customer’s premises, in some cases with short-notice deployment
- Inspection, installation and commissioning of equipment at the customer’s premises in accordance with the relevant specifications
- Providing technical support to customers via telephone or remote maintenance
- Providing technical support to the sales team in the event of unusual sales-related queries
- Travel within Germany and, in exceptional cases, worldwide
- Supporting the central internal repair department as required
