About this role
As Territory Sales Manager Molecular Diagnostics, you will be responsible for the sale of innovative PCR and molecular diagnostic solutions in Western Germany. You will be the competent point of contact for university hospitals, hospitals, private laboratory networks, medical care centers (MVZs), and specialized microbiological laboratories, driving sustainable growth of our portfolio. In doing so, you combine scientific understanding with strong sales skills and actively contribute to improving patient care through modern molecular diagnostics.

Who are we looking for...
- Successfully completed degree in molecular biology, biotechnology, biochemistry, microbiology, life sciences, or comparable training.
- Alternatively, MTA, BTA, CTA, or comparable qualification with relevant sales experience.
- At least 3 years of successful sales experience in diagnostics, medical technology, life sciences, or molecular diagnostics.
- Experience selling PCR, NGS, microbiology, or molecular diagnostic solutions is an advantage.
- Practical laboratory experience in a hospital laboratory, university institute, or private laboratory is explicitly desired.
- Knowledge of clinical microbiology and molecular diagnostics is an advantage.
- Experience with tenders and hospital structures is desirable.
- Strong sales and closing orientation.
- High self-motivation and entrepreneurial thinking.
- Strong communication and presentation skills at all hierarchical levels.
- Ability to present complex scientific matters in an understandable way.
- Negotiation skills and confident demeanor.
- Independent, structured, and solution-oriented way of working.
- Team spirit and strong customer orientation.
- Proficient use of CRM systems and MS Office.
- German at native-speaker level.

- Responsibility for the sustainable development and expansion of the Western Germany sales territory in the field of molecular diagnostics and PCR-based solutions.
- Identifying, developing, and successfully closing new sales opportunities at university hospitals, hospitals, laboratory networks, private laboratories, and medical care centers.
- Building, maintaining, and strategically developing long-term customer relationships with the goal of achieving high customer loyalty in an increasingly competitive market environment.
- Developing trusted partnerships with laboratory directors, microbiologists, clinical decision-makers, purchasing departments, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Analyzing customers' clinical and diagnostic workflows in order to develop tailored solutions and compelling value propositions.
- Advising customers on optimal workflow concepts, automation possibilities, and the economic advantages of modern molecular diagnostic methods.
- Ensuring professional and timely project implementation as well as high customer satisfaction throughout the entire sales and implementation process.
- Close collaboration with application support, technical service, marketing, product management, and inside sales to successfully realize customer projects.
- Acting as the interface between customers and internal specialist departments to ensure efficient communication and problem-solving.
- Proactively handling customer inquiries, complaints, and critical situations with the aim of securing long-term trust and sustainable business relationships.
- Independently preparing, following up on, and negotiating quotations, investment and reagent contracts, and tenders.
- Conducting product demonstrations, workshops, and scientific presentations for customers as well as at trade congresses and industry events.
- Preparing regular forecasts, pipeline analyses, and management reports based on defined sales KPIs to manage business performance.
- Continuous market and competitive analysis, deriving appropriate measures to achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Actively participating in strategic projects for the introduction of new products and technologies in the field of molecular and infectious disease diagnostics.
