At the heart of Sphere Bio’s innovation is its proprietary Cyto-Mine® platform, a fully integrated system that automates high-throughput single-cell analysis, sorting, imaging, and dispensing. Cyto-Mine enables researchers to rapidly screen and characterize individual cells, accelerating the development of next-generation biotherapeutics, vaccines, and engineered cell therapies.

The company’s portfolio includes over 25 patented products, spanning instruments, biochips, surfactants, and specialist reagents designed to streamline and enhance biopharmaceutical R&D workflows.

At a Glance

In 2024, following strong growth across EMEA, Sphere Bio set its sights on expanding into the US market. Until then, the company had relied on local recruitment agencies with limited global reach.

That summer, Sphere Bio partnered with SRC-Search to lead the buildout of their US commercial team – focusing on securing strategic early hires critical to establishing a strong foothold in a highly competitive market.

Results

Under intense time constraints, SRC-Search rose to the challenge of helping Sphere Bio launch its commercial operations in the United States. With just weeks to deliver, and following a series of unsuccessful recruitment attempts with other partners, SRC was brought in to make a meaningful difference where others had fallen short.

The stakes were high: Sphere Bio needed to make key foundational hires to establish a presence in one of the most competitive life sciences markets in the world. These roles were not only time-sensitive but also critical in shaping the future of the company’s growth in North America. Drawing on deep sector expertise, a refined understanding of the company’s culture and mission, and an agile, collaborative process, SRC quickly set to work.

In under two months, SRC-Search successfully filled two out of the three high-priority positions – an impressive result that reflected both the urgency of the search and the precision of execution.
