About this role
As part of the NEB Germany team, this position is responsible for driving sales in Pan-European markets, focusing on the development and adoption of the next-generation sequencing portfolio across the research and applied market sectors. The candidate will work closely with our channel partners in the respective regions to successfully identify, technically engage, and develop New England Biolabs’ sales by building strategic relationships with key customers in the region.

Who are we looking for...
- The candidate should be able to confidently engage with end-users, understand their requirements within NGS projects, and align them with NEBs product offerings.
- Proactivity, a flair for developing customer relationships, and strong teamwork skills are essential.
- The successful candidate must have a strong background in molecular biology techniques including cloning, synthetic biology/gene assembly, next-generation sequencing, protein expression, PCR, and qPCR. A strong understanding of next-generation sequencing and hands-on experience is required.
- NGS wet lab experience is required. A PhD in molecular biology or similar is an advantage.
- Experience in sales is a plus.
- The candidate is a team player and able to communicate and work with the NEB-Germany team and NEB’s global NGS team located in the US.
- Fluency in German and English (both verbal and written) is required.
- While it would be advantageous for the candidate to be located close to the NEB-Germany office in Frankfurt am Main, hybrid models or fully remote options are available. If remote work is required, a location close to an EU airport to facilitate travel within the EU will be a prerequisite.
- A high willingness to travel regularly across different European countries is required (minimum 50%).
what you can expect...
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the region.
- Focus on NGS core facilities, as well as consortia, and large-scale projects in research and applied markets (e.g., biopharma).
- Utilize technical expertise to drive product sales, including but not limited to wet lab training.
- Present products to relevant customers, including academic, biotech, and pharmaceutical accounts.
- Play a key role in market intelligence for the region, including competitor analysis, market development, and customer funding in academic and industrial sectors. Represent NEB alongside local distributors at key conferences.
