About this role
The Director of Global Consumables Sales is responsible for building and leading the global Inside sales team. The role is responsible for establishing annual revenue and performance goals for the team, and driving revenue goals in conjunction with inside sales managers, field sales and other marketing managers. Responsibilities include:
1) developing sales strategies, process, and tools to support the team in executing strategies;
2) hiring, training, management, and development of Inside Sales staff;
3) managing and monitoring team performance to achieve and exceed revenue goals.
This role will retain oversight of the Global Consumables business, providing forecasting and analysis functions, in conjunction with sales and marketing leadership.

Who are we looking for...
- Bachelor’s Degree in Life sciences required. (Masters or PhD preferred)
- 5+ years of Inside Sales Management experience in a metric-driven sales environment required
- 5+ years of experience in life science sales, business, operational, or marketing processes
- Proven success with managing, motivating, and developing an inside sales team
- Strong experience with prospecting, lead generation/qualification, and customer follow-up
- Understanding of genomics, sequencing, single cell, molecular biology products and services
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communications skills
- Experience with presenting product materials, sales webinars and seminars
- Proficient in using social media tools, CRM/ERP systems and MS office suite
what you can expect...
- Build process for forecasting global consumables sales and extended service contract business and maintain weekly and quarterly forecast updates
- Own instrumentation extended service contract quota delivery globally and by region
- Drive global consumables revenue delivery and growth via Inside Sales initiatives, sales promotions and associated marketing programs
- Drive global instrument opportunity funnel by leading inside sales team in instrument opportunity qualification and lead generation activities
- Drive efficiency in planning and allocation of consumables by region
- Work closely with marketing organization to build both consumables and instrumentation funnel to help meet global and regional revenue targets
- Participate in leadership meetings and direct strategy for sales team
- Assist marketing with competitive analysis
- Work with marketing and regional sales directors to ensure timely lead follow-up
