About this role
We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Business Development Manager, Nordics to join our growing organization. The Nordics territory consists of Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, and Iceland including all relevant segments of both Pharma/CRO and Academic/Government markets.
You will be responsible for growing the company’s new business in the territory by finding and closing significant business opportunities for capital instrument and reagent sales. You will be building and sustaining successful, long-term, relationships. Along with your Sales Manager, you will develop sales strategies in key target segments. As a member of the Quanterix Europe sales team, you will contribute to product development by sharing market feedback with our product and marketing teams and create strong and consultative relationships with prospects and customers, turning them into Simoa evangelists.
This is an individual contributor sales role that requires both the strategic and systematic curation of a healthy sales pipeline as well as strong closing skills. Products will range from instrumentation, reagents to services (annual maintenance, extended warranties, IQ-OQ-PQ).

Who are we looking for...
- BS or BA from accredited institution with major in biology or chemistry.
- 3 – 5 years of capital equipment sales in the life sciences industry.
- Technical skill and experience in Immunoassay/ Flow/ Imaging desired, with capital equipment sales.
- A master’s degree in engineering, cell biology, biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or chemistry.
- Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, familiarity with Nordic customs/culture and at least one of the Nordic languages.
- Have a deep understanding and experience managing the tender process.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in parallel and balance workload based on priority of assignments.
- Have history of consistent meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Utilize Salesforce to log all activities to Direct Manager.
- A collaborative, result-oriented individual.
- A team player with a positive attitude, and commitment to goals.
- Participate consistently and play an active positive role on regional calls and other operating mechanisms.
- Provide regularly oral and written communication of successes, failures, and best practices to continuously improve sales process.
- Valid Driver's license.

- Serve as the Sales Executive for the entire Quanterix portfolio of platforms and reagents, covering targets across segments in assigned territory.
- Relentlessly pursue Capital Equipment sales activities to create and close opportunities and to meet and exceed revenue goals, with quarterly cadence.
- Leverage existing database of contacts to expand Quanterix’ s customer base.
- Possess a hunter's mentality in generating leads (database searches, LinkedIn, twitter, publication mining, etc.) and building a pipeline.
- Utilize the ONE TEAM approach with local Field Application Scientist & Field Service Engineer to demonstrate clear product/technology expertise and influence customers to the value of the company's technology solutions in solving their innovation and productivity challenges.
- Utilize account radiate strategies to expand base of business across key functional groups with pharma, academia, and governmental institutes (labs, core facilities, etc).
- Have clear understanding of entire procurement process, from requisition, approval, release of funds to purchase and map timing of these clearly in SFDC to drive forecast accuracy.
- Manage the sales cycle from introduction through purchase to deployment, requiring extensive coordination among various Company resources through the sales process.
- Coordinate, prepare and compile tender submission documents in relation to tendering activities, tender questionnaires, and pre-qualification.
- Field travel as necessary in your target territory.
