About this role
The Inside Sales Account Manager is responsible for selling NEB’s molecular biology products via phone and electronic communication channels across Germany and Austria. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for grow revenue by bringing leads, new business opportunities and growing sales in existing customers in the region.

Who are we looking for...
- The successful candidate must have a background studying and/or working with molecular biology techniques in a lab setting. Desirable to have practical knowledge and detailed understanding of molecular biology research techniques including cloning, synthetic biology/gene assembly, next generation sequencing, protein expression, PCR and qPCR.
- Fluent in German and English (verbal and writings).
- A post graduate qualification in molecular biology would be an advantage.
- A minimum of 2-years sales experience within Inside Sales or a Field Sales role.
- Knowledge of the German/Austrian market is a plus.
- Communicate and work as part of the GmbH and global team. Be able to confidently engage with end-users, understand their requirements and NEB’s product offering.
- Experience in using Salesforce, Highspot and other tools is a plus.
- Must be proactive, have a flair for developing customer relationships and a strong team player.
- Would be an advantage for the candidate to be located close to the NEB GmbH office in Frankfurt am Main but not required. Hybrid models with home office and office work or fully remote are available.
- For trainings, fairs or to support team colleagues, occasional travels outside Germany/Austria will be expected, (yearly or twice-yearly travel in Europe or USA).
what you can expect...
- Account Management within a portfolio of customer accounts located across Germany and Austria via phone and electronic communication channels.
- Present new products to relevant customers which will include academic, biotech and pharmaceutical accounts.
- Develop new business opportunities and grow sales at existing customer locations.
- Collaborate with the German Sales and Marketing Team colleagues in delivering growth across Germany and Austria.
- Play key role in “Market Intelligence” with projects involving competitor analysis, market development and customer funding in academic and industrial sectors.
- Occasionally supporting the sales team at larger exhibitions or conferences within Germany and Austria.
