About this role
We are looking for a highly motivated Inside Sales Account Manager, located in Oxford or Berlin (Germany) to manage our growth in the dedicated area, run lead qualification and sales conversion activities for new and repeat business. The Nanopore Account Manager is responsible for increasing product usage per user, strategic prospecting for new business, and accelerating lead conversion, as well as working to ensure the retention and progression of existing customers by actively building relationships and delivering up to date product information.

Who are we looking for...
- BSc and/or Master’s degree (preferably in Life Sciences, Genetics, or Genomics); a PhD is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of current DNA sequencing technologies and their applications.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Good knowledge of the Life Sciences and Genomics market.
- Proven team player with the ability to build positive working relationships.
- Experience working in distributed teams is a plus.
- Comfortable in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Positive, can-do attitude with a proactive approach.
- Demonstrates initiative, sound judgment, and tact.
what you can expect...
- Manage new business and growth accounts to achieve the sales order and revenue targets.
- Build and manage an opportunity funnel to achieve those targets.
- Strategically execute your own and the company’s tactics to build that funnel through focussed customer calls and contacts – cold calls and account management for new business.
- Manage incoming sales leads and nurture to conversion.
- Strategic outbound prospecting for new business.
- Deliver up-to-date technical product updates to new and existing customers.
- Actively implement sales campaigns at the guidance of the marketing and communication teams or self-directed.
- Adhere to standard methodologies for tracking, recording and documenting relevant commercial intelligence in our CRM (SFDC).
