About this role
Hain Lifescience GmbH is a manufacturer and distributor of in-vitro diagnostics. Our customers include medical laboratories worldwide. Our core competencies are molecular genetic test systems and devices for detecting dangerous pathogens or hereditary diseases. Since October 2018, Hain Lifescience has been part of the globally successful technology group Bruker, headquartered in the USA, as part of the Microbiology and Infection Diagnostics (MID) division.
In April 2025, the MID division acquired Ridom, a profitable German NGS Bioinformatics company. In this new role of Business Development Manager NGS you will be the first at Bruker to develop the NGS market, for Ridom and future NGS acquisitions, leading the EMEA (and global) strategy while working closely with the existing MID team.

Who are we looking for...
- Several years of experience in business development, sales, or customer support, ideally in the NGS sector or related technology.
- Experience and knowledge of Next Generation Sequencing.
- Knowledge of the IVD market and infectious disease would be of advantage.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent technical college qualification) in a relevant natural science discipline such as Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
- Confident and friendly appearance in customer contact.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Resilience and proactive way of working & customer orientation.
- Confident handling of MS Office programs.
- Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
- Willingness to travel frequently.
what you can expect...
- Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth in the NGS sector.
- Coordinate our NGS strategy and implementation with BMID divisional sales teams.
- Overall revenue responsibility for the NGS product group.
- Build and maintain customer relationships to understand and meet their needs and requirements.
- Provide technical advice and support to customers in the implementation and use of our NGS solutions.
- Develop marketing materials and pricing strategy.
- Coordinate product launch activities and perform commercial campaigns.
- Conduct product presentations and training sessions for customers and sales partners.
- Perform market analysis and identify new business opportunities as well as monitor competitors.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including R&D, marketing, and sales, to develop customer-specific solutions.
- Participate in trade shows and conferences to represent the company and network.
