About this role
Reporting to the Regional VP, the APAC-based Field Application Scientist will play a key role in introducing our cutting-edge technology to customers, guiding them through biological discovery, and ensuring efficient data generation. This position requires expertise in customer training, wet lab support, and analysis, making it essential for individuals with strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a passion for scientific innovation.
The role involves supporting both pre-sales and post-sales efforts by collaborating closely with customers to ensure the successful adoption and utilization of our platform. Additionally, the successful candidate will manage and coordinate technical aspects of customer demonstration projects while representing the company at trade shows and scientific conferences.

Who are we looking for...
- Ph.D. or M.S. in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in customer support within the life sciences, genomics, or imaging fields.
- Expertise in single-cell analysis and/or cellular imaging preferred.
- Strong background in RNA detection workflows and tissue sample preparation.
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations and prioritize customer needs.
- Experience in both startup and established company environments is highly desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal and team collaboration skills.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities, with a talent for conveying complex scientific concepts.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at managing multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, documentation control, customer support ticketing systems, and other relevant business applications.
what you can expect...
- Develop expert-level knowledge of the company’s technology, including sample preparation techniques, instrumentation, software, and full system integration.
- Guide customers through best practices in sample preparation, experimental design, and data analysis to ensure high-quality results across various applications.
- Present product information and scientific applications at customer seminars, trade shows, and industry events.
- Onboard, train, and provide ongoing technical support to new customers, ensuring protocols are well understood and properly implemented.
- Collaborate with customers to design custom gene panels tailored to their research needs.
- Assist customers in optimizing workflows for single-cell spatial analysis, offering expert guidance on experimental setup.
- Troubleshoot customer issues, investigate root causes, and work closely with internal support and R&D teams to develop solutions.
- Partner with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities within the region.
- Contribute to strategic financial goals by fostering relationships with key customers, industry leaders, and researchers to build brand awareness and meet revenue targets.
- Gather and relay customer feedback to internal teams to support product development and innovation.
- Serve as a professional and knowledgeable representative of the company when engaging with both external and internal stakeholders.
